Specifically designed for the ICOM IC-706, this Heil 
 headset features a new high gain f.e.t. (field effect 
 transistor) microphone element producing extremely 
 articulate audio that will make your 706 come alive! 
 ICOM microphone preamplifiers have always been 
 traditionally low in gain by at least -10 dB so it was 
 mportant to develop a high gain microphone but 
 maintain very high quality audio. The audio of this 
 microphone element is wired straight through so that 
 the VOX operation is operative. A momentary Push-
 To-Talk pendant type switch is mounted in-line ,
 complete with a spring clip to attach to your shirt.

 The microphone cable has the microphone lead 
 in a shielded cable so important for mobile
 operation. Most of the modular cables do not shield
 this microphone lead. This modular cable can be
 plugged into the front or rear modular
 microphone connector.

 The headset is very lightweight. The mic boom can 
 be reversed so the headset can be worn left or right 
 side. The audio that feeds the headset is fed through 
 one of the pins to the modular connector. This allows
